Third Outside reading

Chapter 3-5. In the novel, the Monster, Steven is in the midst of an intense trial that is trying to prove of his part in the robbery and murder in a local convenience store. Stories have been going back and forth that Steven had walked in to scout out the area for the guys who were gonna do the act later on. Steven and his attorney fight very hard to prove that Steven had nothing to do with this lawfull act. Throughout his time in prison, Steven started writing a script to his own movie. It was a series of events and thoughts that Steven experienced during his time behind bars. He is constantly writing down statements that he is innocent. Because of the amount of times he writes this down to himself, I believe that he was actually innocent and had nothing to do with the whole.
" I can hardly think about the movie, I hate this place so much. But if I didnt think of the movie I would go crazy. All they talk about in here is hurting people." (Steven). When Steven says things like this, it just shows me the emotions that he is having while in prison. This is no place for a 16 year old child to be placed while he is still innocent. No child should be opened up to a violent and brutal way of talk from these older men.
